So another year draws to a close and what a year it has been. Here is a message to you all from Cormac;
How ya doing folks, Cormac here dropping you a few quick lines before we all strap ourselves in and take the plunge into the new year and beyond. If its anything like this year then bring it on. A few highlights include..finally making it to Australia, Korea and Japan where we somehow managed to sell a load of records without ever having played there. We did a few low profile gigs with some up and coming young talent such as Aerosmith, The Eagles of Death Metal and a wee band called The Rolling Stones. We played every European Summer festival that our beloved sprinter would allow us to get to making it as far North as Bergen and Oslo, as far South as Florence and Madrid, as far East as Belgrade and Istanbul and as far West as....sunny Galway.So we've made a lot of friends all over the world, but lets not forget the home front which as usual didn't dissapoint. We had a great tour of Ireland and the U.K. with the Winnebago deal which gave us a chance to play in front of a lot of people who have been there from the very beginning and to whom we are eternally grateful. We also played Download, Hyde Park Calling, a couple of Irish Shows with The Who, Chepstow Castle with U.F.O. and if that wasn't enough already..just the other day we got to jam with my favourite singer in the world Paul Rodgers. I know what I'll be talking about in my local this Christmas eve.
2007 has been quite simply an amazing year for us four boys from Northern Ireland and we owe a lot of our success to you guys. Expect to see us on your doorstep in the very near future playing lots of songs that none of you have ever heard before. So until next year, have a mulled wine on us and don't be shy with the brandy. Love always! Cormo.
Remember to keep an eye on what the guys are doing by going to the new Royal Artist Club page, click here This is a new site for artists like The Answer to post blogs, videos or just messages so that you can have more up to date access to what the band are doing. Check it out.
Thanks to all of you who made the Planet Rock Xmas bash so good. What a night, Paul Rodgers and the band together was a magic moment. For any of you wanting to hear this gig keep an eye out on the stations web site - Planet Rock - they are going to broadcast the whole show in between Christmas and New Year and there are some cool photos of the night on the web site too.
Changes to this site are underway so look out for news on this in the new year. In the meantime the band are busy writing a whole new bunch of Answer classic's for the new year.
Thats it for now, Keep Believin...
Peace. db.
